Week 44: Giving Time

“And don’t forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” – Hebrews 13:16 (CSB)

Time is one of our most valuable resources, and giving it generously reflects God’s heart for service. When we prioritize serving others with our time, we demonstrate love, selflessness, and a commitment to God’s kingdom. As we serve on the worship team, our time becomes an offering to God, contributing to His work in the church.

This week, let’s reflect on how we can give our time generously to the ministry and to one another, serving with joy and dedication.

For musicians, giving time might mean investing extra effort in practice, helping another team member with their part, or offering your time to mentor less experienced musicians. These acts of generosity strengthen the team and glorify God.

For the tech team, giving time might involve arriving early to set up, staying late to troubleshoot, or stepping in to assist a teammate in need. Generosity with your time ensures that every aspect of the service points people to Christ.

  1. Personal Reflection: Identify one way you can give your time more generously this week and commit it to God.

  2. Team Reflection: Share with the team how someone’s generosity with their time has impacted you.

  3. Sunday Preparation: Arrive early on Sunday with a heart ready to serve and give your time joyfully.
